Our Dr. Dig is Dr. Joyce Tyldesley, a well-known Egyptologist and author of numerous books, including Ramesses: Egypt's Greatest Pharaoh, Nefertiti: Egypt's Sun Queen, Hatchepsut: the Female Pharaoh, Judgement of the Pharaoh: Crime and Punishment in Ancient Egypt, and The Private Lives of the Pharaohs. Dr. Dig's latest book is Tales from Ancient Egypt, in which she retells some of the most important myths, folk-tales, and autobiographies preserved on papyrus and carved in stone. She holds a Ph.D. from Oxford and is an honorary research associate at Liverpool.
